Mr. Di Stefano is the Managing Partner of Light and Energy International, LLC.  Previously, he served as the Director, Global Business Development, for the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development from March 2000 until his retirement in December, 2012.  As Director, he oversaw the State of Nevada’s International Trade and Foreign Direct Investment Programs and the Office of Protocol and was instrumental in expanding Nevada’s role in international trade and attracting investment by foreign and multinational companies into Nevada.  Nevada’s exports during the twelve years of his term increased 587% to over $10 billion.  Under his direction, the international program funds obtained for Nevada from federal sources had risen over fourfold.  In the same time period the number of new international companies that have decided to locate their US operations in Nevada has increased 50%.

In 2002 he was responsible for opening the Nevada’s first trade representative offices in the Peoples Republic of China with representatives in Beijing and Shanghai.  Additional representative offices have been appointed in Brazil, Hong Kong, Italy and Germany.  In 2005 the Consul of State Governments recognized this program with one of its eight national “Innovations Awards”.

Mr. Di Stefano was appointed to three successive two-year terms by three different U.S. Secretaries of Commerce to serve on the Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee (ETTAC) for the U.S. Department of Commerce.  In March 2010 Ambassador Ron Kirk honored him with a four-year appointment to the Intergovernmental Policy Advisory Committee (IGPAC) of the White House Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR).

In 1999 he founded his own export management company to market environmental products for small U.S. manufacturers to Asia and Latin America.  Today he continues to successfully operate and expand this company for which has advanced international business development and established distribution in thirty-five countries on six continents during his travel to sixty-one countries.



Mr. Zhang emigrated to the U.S approximately 20 years ago to earn his Master’s Degree.   His extensive experience in working with companies exporting and importing  led him to become a very successful entrepreneur.  He created a successful chain of thee different restaurants in 1990 and sold them ten years later.  He then successfully created a building materials supply company, and an export-import company that markets and sells solar panels and high-technology lighting products throughout the world.. He has over 20 years of successful experience in dealing with suppliers of many different products in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
